Term 1 Reflection

During term 1 we drew pictures of fruits, we also painted a big picture picture of a fruit or vegetable (you could pick). Learning about how to draw a really good picture of a fruit or vegetable was really fun, it may not sound fun but it really is because we had to draw all the lines in pretty accurate places. It did take some time but it was worth it. After we finished drawing we went on to painting, a visitor called Aunty Sally came to help us learn how to do dots on our painting.Aunty Sally was an indigenous artist. To start off with the painting we had a plain black piece of thin cardboard, we then drew a outline of the fruit or vegetable we wanted to use the outline was drawn in white pencil. After that we painted the fruit or vegetable, in my case a tomato, and we had to paint it in different shades of paint. After we painted the fruit we did the backgrounds in the right colours so the colour that best suited our paintings. When we finished our backgrounds we started to do our dots our mission was to cover the painting with dots. And than we were finished. During last term we learnt a lot and I am really glad we did this topic.
